DC servomotor / permanent magnet

Selema DC servomotors are designed to deal with high mechanical stress; the technology employed ensures high performance and allows the servomotors to complete extended periods of duty whilst subjected to heavy vibrations.

Notable features include:
high demagnetising current, high performance, extremely silent operation, laminated pole piece designed to concentrate the flux of the ceramic permanent magnet.
This increases air-gap inductance, whilst allowing the size of live parts to be reduced and demagnetising current to be increased by up to 20 times the rated current.
The rotor is complete with a felt seal housed behind the commutator against which the resin-embedded wires rest in order to prevent failure caused by fatigue or vibration.
The drawn-aluminium wedge, besides being a structural element, guarantees correct positioning and locking of stator components (that are then embedded in a special epoxy resin allowing the motor to operate over a wide temperature range), performs two important functions: it increases the motor commutation limit for extended brush life and it guarantees improved heat transfer from the rotor to the environment.
