CR-400 belongs to Konica Minolta's lineup of Chroma Meters that follow their pedigree of being the first portable colorimeters that were initially introduced in the 1980's. The CR-400 features a a large measuring area at 8 m. making it ideal to measure color difference and reflected color in a broad range of industrial products. It has the ability to cater to the needs of several applications ranging from all types of ingredients, raw materials, foods, finished products to dermatological and pharmaceutical products.

If samples such as fabrics, granulates, bricks, wood, stones are uneven or structured on the surface, the CR-400 is the perfect choice. It boasts a fairly large aperture of 50 mm, which makes it ideal to address such samples and hence avoid averaging of myriad measurements.
