Whole body counter / scintillation

The AT1322 and AT1322/1 scintillation whole body counters (WBC) are instruments fitted for measurement of 131I and 133I radionuclide content in the human thyroid gland. They have flexible software controls of WBC functions, generation of databases and reports based on measurement results. They also feature high examination rates, with maximum ratings of 3 minutes per person.

These apparatuses feature automatic LED stabilization of WBC energy scales. They can be operated independently or together with AT1316/AT1316A, and as part of a mobile spectrometric laboratory. WBC operating principles are based on detection of gamma-radiation from 131I and 133I isotopes present in the thyroid gland by a spectrometric detecting unit, and processing of instrument spectra on a PC by dedicated software tools.
