The unit is manufactured by Vulkan, and is a electromagnetic drum brake that is ideal for use in a wide variety of operations, which includes handling of large elements in the iron, steel, mining, oil and gas industries. The unit is available in models with varying working modes. One model is an electrohydraulic, and the other is an electromagnetic.

Electrohydraulically driven models have a layout that complies with the DIN 15435 norm, and comes with various drum pulley with diameters lesser than or equal to 710 mm. The electrohydraulically driven models can also be integrated with nine varying thruster models to have a particular braking torque tuning. Electromagnetically driven models have a layout that complies with the AISE 11 norm, and comes with various drum pulley with diameters lesser than or equal to 30 inches.
