Continuous purification of soiled cooling lubricant produced through the operation of machine tools.

This type of filter is particularly beneficial where large throughput quantities occur, as compared to a gravitation band filter it is able to cope with 3 or 4 times the volume with the same filtration surface and without the use of filtration media.

Functional characteristics:
Soiled cooling lubricant flows from the machine tool through an admission distributor into the dirt accumulation chamber of the filter. Inside the dirt accumulation chamber is a filter drum, whose outer surface is fitted with a seamless stainless steel filter cloth. The pressure drop ?p between the dirt accumulation chamber and the inner chamber of the filter drum generated by a vacuum suction pump causes the medium to be suctioned into the inner chamber of the filter drum, filtering out chips and dirt particles through the filter cloth. The sludge cake which forms on the outside of the filter cloth causes increasing vacuum to be generated in the inner chamber.
