The HANDTE wet separator STW combines fan, separator, and sludge container in one unit. The separator operates as a combined cyclone and water filter. The contaminated raw gas is tangentially fed to the separator and falls on a vortex sink into the water-filled sludge container. The air is guided in such a way that an extremely intensive vortex is created in the lower part and in the dip tube arranged in the center. The raw gas is forced to pass through this vortex. In this process, the fine-grained dust particles not separated by centrifugal power are bound in the liquid particles. Using the centrifugal force, the downstream water separator separates the liquid and the particles bound in it from the gas. The water flows back into the sludge container. The cleaned air is aspired and blown out again by the downstream fan. The STW is available in different versions and is suitable for short line lengths or direct connection. Thanks to the low water consumption, it does not need to be permanently connected to the water mains.
