Insulated electrical wire / copper / PVC / multi-strand

Windig Wire
Submersible motors are used as motors immersed in liquids. For this reason, the wires used for coils in the submersible motor need high-grade installation impermeable to liquids. The winding wires from NSW were developed especially to meet the requirements of this application. They have proven their durability and reliability over many decades, guaranteeing trouble-free operation and long life for the motor. NSW winding wires consist of single-core or multi-stranded copper conductors insulated with plastic. At this time, the following insulating materials are used:

PVC
PE2
HT4

The manufacturers of electric motors use winding wire insulated using PVC for applications involving voltages up to 1000 V and temperatures of up to 75 °C. Winding wire insulated with PE2 is generally used in submersible motors operating at higher voltages and at temperatures up to 90 °C. The increased thermal resistance is achieved by cross-linking the polyethylene. NSW winding wires insulated using HT4 are the most effective choice for operating temperatures up to 115 °C. To achieve long-term stability with this material, NSW recommends a sheath thickness of at least 0.6 mm. The wall thickness of the installation is a function of the desired operating voltage. At voltages of 3 kV and more, NSW recommends the use of a semiconducting layer between the copper conductor and the insulating sheath
