Combining the LIFA with the famous Yokugawa CSU-X1 multi-beam spinning disk resulted in fast confocal fluorescence microscopy through the entire lifetime of the device in the frequency domain. This system provides a high resolution imaging that is often required in sub cellular lifetime studies. It also removes all out of focus light.
The CSU is mounted between the Tricam modulated intensified CCD camera and the microscope. This camera is mounted on the camera port of the spinning disc. The modulated Multi-Laser is provided for excitation.
The CSU unit has been tested on numerous microscopes from the leading manufacturers such as Zeiss, Olympus, Leica and Nikon. The device is available as a complete CSU-X1 unit or as a LIFA upgrade module for the existing CSU.
The LIFA set is easy to install and easy to operate. It is very well adapted for the high-content screening applications. This system has been proved to be easy to handle and highly quantitative for the FLIM-FRET studies.
