Pneumatic vibration isolation system

The important element in various TMC vibration tables is the Gimbal Piston Air Isolator. They are tested through independent testing and proven to provide exceptional isolation in all directions including the lowest input levels. The Gimbal Piston uses pneumatic damping techniques that includes unmatched geometry and air flow restrictors.
It is mildly damped and highly sensitive to regular, low-amplitude ambient vibrations of the floor but it is still able to achieve exceptional damping for gross transient disturbances like bumping of the top plate or abrupt changes in load. This results in excellent isolation that removes any gross disturbance in a matter of seconds. The Gimbal Piston also provides stability for isolated systems with very high centers of gravity without altering the isolation.
