Damped oscillatory wave immunity test system

The repeated oscillatory waves that are damped are a phenomenon that is associated with opening and closing of high voltage bushbar in both high voltage and medium voltage power stations. The environment outside influences the frequency and repetition of impulses. The air insulated type of which has been which is the most common kind of switch used to measure the generating damped oscillatory impulses for as much as 1Mhz. These are termed as a slow waves. Due to the latest trend of switching from air to SF6 gas insinuated switches which are stored in a metallic box that resonate when there is a high frequency as compared to air insulated switches. These generate damped impulses as high as 30 MHz with a repetition rate being 5KHZ. The faster waves are damped oscillatory impulses of 30MHZ.
