The FlexPLP Linear (Programmable Linear Positioner) is a range of programmable linear axes which can be combined together to create small one, two or three axes linear robots. The FlexPLP typically carry tooling and are used to adjust tooling position to accommodate different parts held by the same jig.

The axes can work in synchronized motion and combined together to create a complete programmable tooling system.

A key feature of the FlexPLP is its completely protected drive chain and internal cabling. This makes the FlexPLP an ideal solution for harsh industrial environments.
The FlexPLP also has a telescopic vertical axes providing minimal interference with any part that it is holding.

The FlexPLP has the same performance characteristics as other ABB robots with a high repeatability, ensuring the reliable positioning of geometry tooling.
The FlexPLP is also designed to be extremely robust to ensure the geometry remains rigid under load and is comparable to fixed tooling.

- Easier installation & maintenance
The FlexPLP have been carefully engineered with installation and maintenance in mind. The removal of one cover on each axes provides access to the complete drive chain. In the event of a breakdown, the axes can be easily separated from each other and replaced within minutes.
