Hot tapping, or under-pressure drilling machine, is a tool for making a connection to existing pipelines or tanks while that existing system is under pressure without interrupting the service and without leakage of the fluid. This method employs a drilling or tapping machine, a full-ported valve and a pressure-containing fitting to the existing pressurized system. The end result a new branch connection abstracted from the original pipe while the line is still operational. Sturdy steel construction and protected by a double-dip galvanizing. Automatic adjustment with constant pressure of drilling and coupon retention. Drilling distance variable by means of extension cords with modular recovery device of the saw cup inside the machine (eg. to make holes through valves). Mechanical automatic safety limit. Vent valves on all interchangeable fittings. Possibility of introducing a threaded plug via a valve. Drilling capacity in any position. Rotation of the hole saw with ratchet wrench with crank or with the optional pneumatic or hydraulic motor
