Micrometer head

One of the most striking features of the OWIS® MS 10 micrometers is its hard and precise spindles. With matt chrome plated measurement drum and bush, there is efficient contrasting performed to the scale lines.

In order to act as thrust piece, its rugged steel ball comes embedded in the spindle, consequently making the micrometers suitable for precise actuators. With availability of the micrometers in the size range of MS 10-6 and MS 10-9, there is variation in the spindle pitch of 0.10 mm from the micrometers MS with 0.25 mm and 0.5 mm pitch.

With travel specifications of 12 mm and 15 mm, the micrometers MS 10 has fastening thread specification of M6 x 0.5 or M9 x 0.5. There are also counter nuts that can be fixed with the micrometers post their mounting. With credible accuracy in compliance with DIN 863 measuring drum and bush matt chrome plated graduation, this is indeed an efficient system.
