The USB2.0 Full Speed IC which is manufactured by FTDI Chip, This UART device is capable of operating up to 3 MBaud, with low power consumption of 8 mA. It has a 512 byte receive buffer and 512 byte transmit buffer, and it is utilizing buffer smoothing technology to allow high data throughput. The device is pre-programmed and comes with a unique USB serial number.

It can also be used with a mobile device to enable higher current and faster charging of batteries. Some of its other features include low USB bandwidth consumption, UART signal inversion option, integrated power-on-reset circuit, and its configurable CBUS I/O pins. The device can also transmit and receive LED drive signals. This unit has an operating temperature that ranges from -40°C up to 85°C.
