Aluminum housed resistor / with housing / high-pulse / HV

HVB70 style resistors are aluminium housed resistors filled with aluminium oxide. The resistor element is in direct contact with the aluminium oxide. When the resistor is loaded with a (high) pulse load the temperature of the wire will rise in very short time. Because the wire is encapsulated by the aluminium oxide it takes long time before the energy is transported to the housing of the resistor. The temperature on the housing is very low compared to the wire temperature.
