Transmission bearings in race cars normally only attract attention when they fail. So apart from absolute reliability, they also have to provide minimum friction, low weight and, in some applications, as many integrated functions as possible. Custom-made designs to meet specific requirements offer an ideal combination of these properties.

CEROBEAR hybrid transmission bearings are available as several rolling bearing types with balls, rollers, needles or tapered rollers, made of silicon nitride. A design that is matched to the stress and the choice of suitable materials helps save weight compared to standard bearings. Customized flanges, anti-rotation devices, threads, splines or oil feeds allow an optimum connection to the surrounding structure.
