Tapping unit

The GEM 12 by Suhner® is a self-contained, programmable tapping unit. It is designed without a leadscrew, including an electric control box with AC-frequency inverter drive.

This can be used in PCs with operating systems of Windows 95/98/NT/ 2000 or XP. Its control system permits the programming of all speed and motion cycles within referenced limitations.

It comes with all pitch sizes for M2 to M12, between 64 and 13 TPI, which can be acquired through interchangeable timing belts and pulleys. The unit has programmable, variable spindle speeds in 3 basic speed ranges of 200 ? 1200, 200 ? 2400, and 200 ? 4800 RPM via a secondary timing belt and pulley drive train. Furthermore, it has a total stroke of 60 mm, and rapid advance of 0 to 55 mm.
