The KIEN1005 features four 10/100Base-TX ports and one Fast Ethernet fiber/RJ45 optional ports. The uplink port supports broadcast storm control and QoS functions. The housing of the switch is made of fanless aluminum and has a protection class of IP40. It also measures 36.5×120×90 mm or 1.44×4.72×3.54 in and weighs 0.3 kg or 0.661 pound. The switch can be mounted in DIN-Rail or Panel position. The front panel power have LED indicators and the interface LED is link/ACT and speed for RJ45 port.

The switch has fast Ethernet fiber ports it has a max of 1 100Base-FX, SM/MM port, FC/SC/ST connector and fast Ethernet RJ45 ports with maximum of five, 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports. The products EMC performance reach are in the industrial level 4. These switches are CE, FCC, DNV certified.
