Busbar with tinned surface

Instead of the conventional silver busbars the TinPad applies tin busbars on the rear surface of the solar cell. The process can take place either during cell production after firing or in module production before stringing.

The TinPad works with standard cells (full-surface coated with standard aluminum paste). The cells are transported sunny-side-down to the processing unit where the tin busbars are applied. A quality control of the cells can be effected with an optional camera system before the cells are transported to the downstream machine.
