For integration in dress packs or umbilicals, these polyurethane houses also have myriad industrial applications. They are especially good for use in industrial robots. Transmitting gases, water, and air is but one function of these devices. Positioning and conveying solid states such as bolts and rivets is another use for these hoses. PA, PUR, PP, and other compounds are used to construct these hoses. Customers can choose from either a single layer or double layer construction. The latter features two polyurethane layers which have been extruded and have a reinforced fiber braid sealed between them. Cross sections on these devices measure between 1/4" and 1". Even in constant use, these devices can handle a range of temperatures between ?20 °C to +80 °C. Elongation on these devices is limited to around 1.5 % at 20 °C and operating under 150 psi of pressure. These hoses are resistant to abrasion, ozone, UV rays, bacteria, caustic solutions, hydrocarbons, and weld spatter. They are also self extinguishing and completely free of silicone. There are seven hose colors to choose from, but customized colors can be provided upon request.
