Operational amplifier

A vast assortment of op amps, or operational amplifiers, is available through the Maxim company. These are useful for signal conditioning, power or battery management, and video or audio functions.

They come in precision, low noise, high voltage, low power and space saving models, and can be purchased with CMOS inputs. The precision and low noise models feature low offset drift over temperature, input offset voltage and input-referred voltage noise. The high voltage models can function with a supply voltage of 10V or greater. They are able to manage operating voltages up around 38V in single-supply operation and 19V in dual-supply applications.

Space saver and low power models have a low quiescent current and come in compact packages such as DFN, WLP, and SC70. The CMOS input model has a low input bias current and produces low input current noise, even at elevated temperatures. Maxim additionally has current-sense amplifiers and comparators for purchase, if required.
