The Raman Amplifi er uses enhanced Raman amplifi cation to extend the span reach of optical DWDM networks. In addition, the module also improves the OSNR (optical signal to noise ratio). The Raman Amplifier consist of two modules. The dual pump model has a maximum output power of 27 dBm, while the triple pump model offers a maximum output power of 28.5 dBm respectively.

The amplifier includes an automatic eye safety mechanism that shuts down the amplifi er or reduces the power within class 1M in case of fi ber link interruption. This comprehensive safety mechanism is extremely important due to the Raman module high output power.
