The iANT 200 is a rugged antenna which is ATEX approved as simple apparatus for use in all hazardous area environments.

It is suitable for either indoor or outdoor use. The iANT200 is optimised for use in WLAN installations in the 2.4GHz/5GHz spectrum for IEEE802.11 b/g/n wireless networks or 2.4GHz/5GHz wireless mesh Ethernet networks. It can be used with the Extronics range of access points which have intrinsically safe RF outputs e.g. the iWAP107, iWAP200 and iWAP400 and also as part of a system using the iSOLATE500 intrinsically safe galvanic RF isolator.

It is important to note that the iANT 200 range of antennae are classed as "Simple Apparatus" under ATEX. This means that they are assessed to be safe to use in Hazardous Area, but must be connected to a suitably certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as our iWAP200. The iANT 200 range of antennae cannot be connected to a Non-Approved device and still retain their
ATEX suitability.

Our iANT 100 and 101 antennae are ATEX Exe type and can be used in a Hazardous Area even when connected to a suitable NonApproved wireless device, as the design of these antennae provides the protection.
