The SIMATIC MV420 stationary 1D/2D code reading system is designed with superior reading reliability and a wide array of communications and connection options. The compact device with auto trigger and IP67 degree of protection is capable to read both standard high-contrast codes as well as DPM (direct parts marking) codes even in extreme ambient conditions. The system finds application in product tracking and process control applications in the automotive, packaging, pharmaceuticals, tobacco, cosmetics, electronics, and food and beverage industries. In addition, the MV420 is also suitable for shipment tracking in logistics and distribution.

The SIMATIC MV420 SR-B uses standard decoding algorithm to read up to 40 Codes reads per second and store up to 5 types of code. SIMATIC MV420 SR-P uses ID-genius algorithm to read up to 70 Codes reads per second and stores up to 14 types of code, offers multi-code reading (reading of up to 50 codes in the field of vision) with code quality evaluation (uncalibrated).
