CANbus interface

The ARS 2000 is equipped as standard with a CAN interface. The crosslinking via CAN interface is a slave connection with the communication profile DS 301 with the full CANopen application profile DSP 402. Additionally you will find an extensive object directory. All parameters of the servo drive can be set or read out. Process data is being transferred directly to the controller.
The node address and Baud rate can be easily adjusted via the configuration tool "Metronix ServoCommander®".
The range of function also contains the interpolated position mode with clock synchronization. The implementation of the interpolated position mode allows setting position values in a multi-axis application of the controller. For that purpose set position values are provided by a superordinated control at a fixed time pattern (synchronization interval).If this interval exceeds a position control cycle, the controller autonomously interpolates the data values between two set position values. The servo drive also calculates a corresponding speed feed forward. This can be done especially in combination with a Eckelmann CNC.
