The IPBUS1 is a serial gateway engineered by Ados. It features RS485 PROFIBUS and RS485 lines to interface the indicator.

The gateway has an Auto Baud capability that automatically adapts to various baud rates. The baud rate on PROFIBUS line can be configured at GSD level, and modified through the network master.

The transmission parameters on the serial line is a 1 Start 8-bit data bit no parity 4800 Baud. It has a Modbus protocol while the IPBUS1 as MASTER. The data type and quantity on the line can be exchanged, depending on the indicator type and the operation defined at GSD level.
