Testo 310 is fitted with 2 measurement cells for CO and O2 and a temperature sensor that is fitted within the flue gas probe. The gas sensors have the ability to measure accurate carbon monoxide and oxygen content and also ambient temperature and flue gas. With this data, several other parameters are effectively calculated such as degree of flue gas loss and effectivity and value of CO2. The Testo 310 is distinct from other instruments in its segment owing to its intuitive menu structure and ease of use.

Users are able to conveniently and confidently interpret measurement values from the well lit display even in unfavorable weather conditions. The fuels are stores as numbers and are also described. The top edge of the clear display indicate different measurement menus in the form of symbols. The dirt immune keypad and the display are well structures and the operation of the Testo 310 is fairly easy even with one hand.
