The CM line of Airflex constricting brakes and clutches are designed with ventilated friction shoes, allowing for clutch slippage at low-energy while vessel steering. When used in cycling engagements, they are also capable of high-energy rates in order to minimize downtime and maintenance.

The CM is ideal for marine engineering, for diesel-fueled reverse-reduction gears.
