Liquids with low electrical potential can be electrostatic charged, while these liquids are combustible, there exists the danger of eminent inflammation or explosion possibility specifically if the electric charge distributes through the sparks. In petroleum-related products like kerosene, diesel, fuel oil and various other industrial liquids, the conductivity can be enhanced by addition of additives. Here the MLA 900 unit serves a purpose, as it analyzes the conductivity of the liquid and adjusts the quantity of the additives for a suitable level varying with application. Required conductivity minimum values can be safely preserved. The MLA 900 edition is employed in areas of explosion-likely proximity and is ASTM D2624 approved as a standard-measuring-method.
