A high density connector is manufactured by QPC, and uses ferrules that measure 1.25 mm which enables to to provide an adequate contact density in a harsh environment connector. The 38999-III-type body of the unit is made of nickel-plated aluminum which is resistant to vibrations of up to 1,000 Hz at 40 g mechanical shocks.

It has a long service life of up to 500 cycles where it requires servicing every 100 cycles. The connector is available in 4 up to 48 channel configurations.
