Underground pipe and cable locator

This glass fibre probe system, manufactured by Sewerin, is a mini pig transmitter designed to deliver precise identification of the end of glass fiber rods. The transmitter can measure exact depth levels, with or without a fiber rod. It has the capability to generate its own field which is sensed by the receiver with high-precision. Furthermore, the device has a compact structure and is battery-operated.

Pipes which are not made from metal can also be identified by the system only if the glass fiber rod is inserted into the pipe. The rod has a copper strand that is operated by the pipeline locating unit such as FERROPHON® or UtiliTrac® which needs a generator in order to perform receiver detection.
