The Kennametal's KCPK10 is composed of TiCN-Al2O3-CVD coating which is mixed along with a cobalt-enriched carbide substrate as it provides an even combination of distortion resistance and edge strength. This product provides grinding and cater wear resistance for rapid machining of steels and cast irons. It is operated for an extreme high cutting speeds with low medium feed rates.

However, the KCU25 is an improved PVD grade that has a hard AlTiN coating and fine-grain unalloyed substrate in which the enhanced coating develops edge stability with broader range of speed and functions. It is recommended for machining steels, high-temp alloys, titanium, irons and non-ferrous materials.
