DCA2D200K Card, for frequency-domain applications
The dual channel data acquisition board is designed for time-resolved data acquisition using the frequency-domain technique in conjunction with Fast-Fourier-Transform (FFT) routines. The board features two separate data acquisition channels, equipped with two 16-bit A/D converters and gain stages (X10, X100, X1000). An embedded microprocessor handles signal preconditioning, thus reducing the calculation load of the host computer. The PCI architecture allows the use of more than one board in the same computer when multiple data channels readings are required. A precise Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) device, allows for data acquisition on each channel at any frequency to be phased locked to an external clock source (such as a mode-locked laser) using the synchronization clock input signal. It includes a programmable sequence generator for automatic patterned gain adjustment and/or driving the external (TTL) sequence output lines. The input/output lines are available for triggering data acquisition of external devices such as stopped-flow apparatus and for synchronizing the acquisition of multiple boards. DCA2D200K is currently utilized in the ISS K2? Multifrequency Phase Fluorometer for lifetime determinations with picosecond resolution and in OxiplexTS?, a non-invasive tissue oximeter for the determination of hemodynamics parameters.
