The unit is an in-wheel direct drive, which is a drive system with the motor, electronics, and the brake incorporated in the wheel. The unit has a compact design, and is ideal for use in a wide variety of electric vehicles at the lower speed range such as commercial and industrial mobile cleaning equipment, industrial and airport logistic vehicles, mobile platforms, electric vehicles such as golf carts, and city electric cars.

The power of the motor is directly transmitted on to the wheel without any reduction of the speed, which needs peak torque at minimal speed. It has an utmost torque capacity lesser than or equal to 230 Nm, and its brake capacity is at 120 Nm.
