SICMEMOTORI is one of the few manufacturers in the world to offer a series of explosion-proof DC motors, duly certified and approved by CESI (Italian Experimental Electrotechnical Centre).The motors are manufactured according to CENELEC EN 50014 (General requirements for the realization of the electrical intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres) and CENELEC EN 50 018 (Specific rules of construction and testing of explosion proof enclosures, type of protection "d") Standards.
Machines with powers up to 45kW are then also been approved in accordance with the requirements of the 94/9/EC "ATEX" Directive.
SICMEMOTORI applies specialties related to these Directives according to the organizational requirements of the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000.
