The Multi-Step Drill - HSS DM 05 is used in sheet metal forming, especially in the electrical industry, HVAC or the common engineering or the switchboard industry. The model can be used with various materials, such as nonferrous metals, stainless steel sheets, thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics. It provides a precise hole diameter through cylindrical steps, while hole deburring can be achieved through the next step.

The tool's keyway allows it to make a chipping cut during drilling for better chip removal. The geometry of this keyway, which is arranged around the drill, results in a longer cutting edge. Spiral cut chip spaces ensure the running smoothness and high running capacity of the equipment.

The service life of the tool can be lengthened with accessories such as ALFRA Cutting Spray.
