Metallised fabric is made from nylon or polyester and covered with a thin metallisation. To ensure good mechanical strength and high corrosion resistance, the metallisation is protected by a conductive varnish. The fabric is then applied to extruded foam. Gaskets made in this way offer flexibility, lightness and good shielding effectiveness.
