Extensometer for rock, concrete, and asphalt

Newsteo Builder is used for the wireless measure of the concrete quality. The quality of the concrete depends on the setting and curing. The company, Newsteo has developed this in partnership with Lafarge the Newsteo Builder. It enables to measure and record the deformations and measurements during the first hours of the setting and then for the years that follow, about 7 years or so. The device can be directly buried into the concrete, complete with its antennae and all and it can record the measurements, which can later be read through a computer. It is possible to send the readings in real time without the help of any wires. As the recordings are time-stamped, the customer gets the complete details of the measurements. Temperature and shrinkage of the concrete are the parameters measured. Monitoring the reading in a PC is done with the help of a RF-to-USB-Key interface.
