The TSURUMI PUMP's MDC series multi-disc screw-press dehydrators feature treating capacities from 36 to 216 kg-DS/h, and a combination of multi disc dehydrator, and screw press dehydrator. The cylinder screen is made out of multiple fixed or movable discs, with alternate placement. Only the movable discs can be in contact to the outer periphery of the rotating screw, ensuring no-clogging operation. They are mostly used for excess sludge in different wastewater treatment processes (about 0.5% sludge concentration), or for oil sludge or DAF floth. They used small motors, offering cost-effectiveness, with minimal vibrations and noise levels, operating on very low speeds.
