The analog addressable fire alarm system, EBL128, can also be used with conventional detectors. The CIE is able to communicate with up to 128 input and/or output units on a single loop. The loop is utilized for manual call points, general inputs and outputs, and for connecting detectors for freely programmable customer specific functions.

The EN54 standards are fulfilled by the EBL128 which includes EN54 part 2 (control and indicating equipment) and EN54 part 4 (power supply). EBL128 is a unique concept for early detection without unwanted alarms. As a new generation of fire systems, the EBL128 can be installed in almost any premises due to its unique functionality in co-operation with adaptation to the surrounding environment, inner activity and self-diagnosis.
