Vulkan's RATO DS Couplings are generally utilized for installation applications that require comprehensive levels of torsional flexibility and moderate levels of misalignment capacities. The couplings are also used for energy, and oil- and gas-related applications. They feature application-oriented coupling designs, backlash-free torque transmissions, and mounted ship main propulsion support capabilities. They also showcase torque rates that range from 6.30 kNm to 160.00 kNm, integrated VULKAN Drive Tech systems, and 3 available stiffness modifications. These stiffness configurations allow high-quality tuning operations.

Additional features of the RATO DS Couplings include comprehensive levels of radial, axial, and angular flexibility. These high flexibility levels compensate for common misalignments that are caused by foundation deflections, heat, and more.
