Single-disc clutch / electro-magnetic

The VC series is a line of electromagnetic clutch and brakes manufactured by Ogura. The V series clutches are dry-type single disc units.

This guarantees quick response in optimum speed, sufficient cycle operation. The armature is mounted to the hub by specific leaf springs for providing limited backlash, and no armature rattle.

The high torque models have similar diameters to the regular versions, however they are a little longer to suit an optimum power coil. The air gap is instantly adjusted as the friction surfaces wear during the whole lifespan of the unit, which increases longevity by 50%.

The solid structure of the V-series is designed for reducing mounting demands while installing. To help dampen the noise that sometimes happens during engagement, Ogura has created a quiet armature choice available in all V series models.
