The central high vacuum welding fume filter ensures optimum extraction of fume directly at the welding point. At the same time, the innovative extraction unit can be also used as an industrial vacuum cleaner.

COMPASOG SR is designed for simultaneous extraction at four welding torches. Thanks to its compact housing with minimum space requirements, the unit can be easily integrated into production. During operation the welding fume filter stands up for its huge suction power. The three powerful EC (-electronically commutated) turbines each with 1.8 kilowatt ensure a maximum air volume flow of 1,000 cubic meters and a maximum negative pressure of 22,000 pascal. Compared to AC-motors, the EC-motors, adjustable to performance requirements, are characterized by the 10% higher degree of efficiency and less power consumption at the same time.

The core of the filter unit is the integrated cyclone pre-separator combined with a proven pulse-jet-system for the downstream fine dust filter cartridge. Due to the tangential raw gas inlet point of the filter housing a cyclonical effect is produced by which coarser particles are pre-separated as a first step. For the subsequent separation of fine dust particles a conical filter cartridge divided into two segments is applied. The filter cartridge is cleaned by compressed air shocks according to the differential pressure. The particles are collected by a 40-litre drawer underneath the filter housing. The drawer can be equipped with lidded cardboard inlays or a metal insert for a dust-free disposal.
