'Self Propelled Modular Trailers' abbreviated as SPMT is used in a variety of industries. It can move components related to civil constructions and petrochemicals on land. This equipment is often used to move heavy machinery and components from the dock to the barge.

These trailers are comprised of several modules with axle lines from a range of 4 to 6. Moreover, each has the capacity of 36 to 48 tons per axle line. They can even execute crab moves and has the possibility of driving circles around the center of the trailer.

The heavy load components can be lifted up to a height of 500 mm. Each and every heavy load component can be lifted, as SPMT2 is designed with different combinations. Currently, the SPMT's have the record of lifting and moving an offshore platform is 15000 tons, and is known to be executed in 2010 by Sarens.
