The GasBossx100 Combustible Gas Sensor features quality catalytic bead sensors which last approximately 5 to 10 years, before any of the head needs to be replaced.

The sensors of the instrument were designed to have a low current and are approved to be intrinsically safe (IS) and not explosion-proof (X/P). To perform intrusive maintenance operations, an explosion-proof instrument requires either the sensor be powered off or the area declassified, but the maintenance of an intrinsically safe instrument can be performed safely even under a full 24 V DC power.

With a long life and intrinsically safe feature, safety is guaranteed while maintenance costs are reduced. This is achieved by cutting the frequency of cell replacement, thus eliminating the cost of disrupting operations.
