The main function of these air cooled condensers would be to condense the waste steam after steam turbine. Hence they are used in power stations. Through convection process, the heat is dissipated into the atmosphere. The steam inside this close circuit unit, circulates through a heat exchanger and this gets cooled by the flowing air. The condensate air is collected and can be reused in power plant processes. FLENDER Gear Units are thus designed exclusively for condensing turbines in power plants. The presence of a fan mounted on two-stage helical gear unit can help absorb any reactive forces of the rotor, thanks to the reinforced output bearing arrangement. Promising high operational reliability, the gear units are configured for both fixed and variable speeds.
