The ®evolution in High Performance Cutting

The HBZ® Trunnion series is aiming at economic machining of aluminium, steel and titanium workpieces on table diameters of 800, 1200 and 1600 mm. The production machine is especially fitting to automotive, die- and mould, machine construction, tooling, energy technologies and aerospace. Whenever precision, quality and productivity are required in an application; the horizontal machining centre is performing at its best.

For machining, the rotary-swivel-table of the 5-axis machining centre, which is positioned horizontally for loading and unloading, is swivelled into the vertical position. This combined with horizontally positioned high power spindle allows highly economic machining processes.

The machine allows best precision during highly dynamic machining processes with accelerations up to 10 m/s² and travel speed up to 60 m/min due to a very rigid frame construction based on FEM calculations.

According to machining and production requirement, chip management, automated solutions and concepts for tool magazine are flexibly configured.

The user-friendly set-up possibility from the front - due to the large sliding door and from above, the insight into the work zone from the side and from the front as well as the accessibility to tool magazine and workpiece are speaking in the good machines ergonomics.
