The HEC series is a range of five-axis machining centers. An NC control system which is designed into the machine enables 5-sided, 3+2 axis, and full 5-axis contouring. A quality horizontal spindle with quadruple bearings results in enhanced cutting conditions and long-term accuracy. The machine also features a good positioning accuracy of the A axis and the B axis with reversal errors of 4 and 3 seconds, respectively.

Improved tool change cycles ensure reduced idle times, while tool handling is enhanced by chain or tower magazines for 60 to 320 tools. A hydraulic safety circuit results in the reliable clamping of the rotary axis. The device works with large tools with a maximum diameter of 500 mm and a maximum length of 800 mm.
