The model 879B 40,000-count handheld LCR meter is utilized to quickly and precisely measure capacitance, inductance and resistance. The 879B uses SCPI commands to support remote control and can calculate ESR, ? and impedance features which are only usually found in bench LCR meters.

The 879B is extremely simple to operate with fast auto-ranging and quick measurement configuration, including test frequency selection and measurement parameter. Handy functions are included in the meter such as data hold, tolerance sorting, relative mode and Min/Max/Average recording.

Using either SCPI commands sent from a custom program or the provided data logging software, measurement data can continuously transfer to a PC via the meter's mini USB interface. The 879B provides 40,000 counts resolution on primary displays and 10,000 counts resolution on secondary displays.
