Since june 2010 the HUMMEL 15 series aluminum enclosures now come with a new conductive coating. Coming into force of European wide Directives established for electromagnetic compatibility EMC of electrical installations which has led to an ever increasing demand for components that provide superior protection from the emissions and occurrences of spurious radiation. The surface of this HUMMEL EMC housing is coated with a conductive powder and thus makes a decisive contribution to this. Surface resistance measurement is carried out in a laboratory as per DIN 53 482 up to 1.5 x 106 Ohm attests to the outstanding conductive characteristics. Additionally the conductive gasket seals are specially used to produce a connection that is electrically conductive between the lid and lower section this provides superior shielding effectiveness. With a thickness of 80-120 ?m, anti static coating also comes with excellent corrosion protection.
